No shit this isn't a real one. If it was, they wouldn't be advertising through such a piss poor video on youtube. Shit, they wouldn't advertise at all. The strad violins practically sell themselves.

This is not a real strad

anyway it's in really bad condition.If it were a real, even if... you won't get a lot from it. Not just about money, but just wonder how it sounds...mine have no label and is handcrafted by my father.don't need a fake stradivarius...

0:40 doesn't look like something you can actually play on

It's hard to tell for sure on some specifics I think....But, it seems fairly obviously fake, and probably more recent than you might think.Also, very poorly handled.

From the top down....The pegholes look poorly reemed. It could just be angle though. Aside from the angle, none of them are a uniform distance from the peghead to the pegbox, and the holes that the strings go into are poorly alligned.The varnish looks clumpy and artifically aged, and the scroll looks poorly carved... though that could also just be the angle, again. Still, the very poorly reemed peg holes is enough to make it convinably an amateur fake.

Generally, it looks like poor workmanship and a bad attempt of a fake. My very amateur guess is that it was made around 1930-1940. It could be nice wood though, the grain of the spruce is very tight, and that seems to often be indication of a well resonating top.I wouldn't expect it to show any value more than a thousand dollars (US), being very liberal. I would suggest getting more detailed picture though. Unless you've already sold or pawned it.

@benkanki Try to contact an owned of a real strad violin. There are 650 Stradivarius violins out there. Travel to italy and go to a museum or someone who knows about stuff like that.

@Dragomire Of course he did..

It is most likely a strad reproduction but I would take it to a professional to be sure. The label looks correct but it's possible that it is a fake. |
